What Does Altitude Means
What does altitude means
Altitude is defined as the height or point at which an object is located in relation to a point of reference. The point of reference can either be ground level or sea level.
Altitude is useful in the study of the atmosphere. It lets us describe and note the different levels at which the atmosphere changes in characteristics. It also serves a major purpose in launching space flights and even commercial air flights. Pilots should know at which altitude there would be least turbulence to avoid accidents or unpleasant flights.
