What Lesson/S Did You Learn From It?
What lesson/s did you learn from it?
Answer:
The lesson I learned from the story is that "love expressed in words is not enough. It must also be expressed in action.
The story talks about the relationship of a mother and her youngest child. The sick mother utter that "Ang anak kong bunso hindi ako mahal." Her youngest child is somewhat confused since her youngest child provides her money for medicine. And the youngest child thinks to perhaps what he is doing is not enough to provide warmth to his mother. So he decided to massage his/her mother and spent more quality to the remaining days his/her mother have. After doing so, he/she did not hear his mother utter the word "Ang anak kong bunso hindi ako mahal." Then he came to realize fully that love expressed in words is not enough. It must also be expressed in action.
The story really touch me as it was quite similar with me and my mom. My mom had a terminal illness and I am always busy with work. Although I am with her, I really never had a quality time with her when she was still healthy. It hurt so much to see hear struggling in pain for 6 months. I still missed my mom even until now and wish to have quality time with her.
Actions speaks louder than words. Quality time is important in every relationship. We should act immediately as time will not stop and return. We should always provide quality time to our love ones and cherished every moment left for us here on Earth. Let us give time for our family specially who are far from us. Calling via cellphones is enough for them to feel that we care for them.
We should not afraid to expressed our action of love. We should not think twice for as long we know we right. Time is our enemy, so lets not waste time since it is gold.
